PRIVATE LESSONS

WE  CAN  TEACH  YOU  ANYTHING! With dozens of instructors and decades of teaching and performance experience, there isn't an instrument or genre we can't teach you how to play. Most people ask for one of the "big four" (piano, guitar, drums, or voice). That might be a good place to start if you're unsure about what interests you. Generally, most piano, drum, and vocal students begin at 5 years old, guitar at 6 years old, and band instruments in 4th grade. Please use our contact form to find out more or to find an instructor that works for you!

We recommend beginners take 30 minute private lessons once a week~ $120 a month.

Is more instruction a good fit for you?*
45 min a week - $180 a month
1 hour a week - $240 a month
1:30 a week - $360 a month
2 hours a week - $480 a month

*Prices are per student.  If you have 2 students each taking different 30 minute lessons, the total is $240 ($120+$120).   Also, there is an additional $10 a month charge if our instructors come to your home. There is also a one-time $35 paper/toner fee for new students.

Looking to save money? Put all your children into one 30-minute slot with an instructor! For instance, 3 kids can learn guitar for 30 minutes a week for only $120 a month! Email [email protected] for more info!

CLASSES

Groups of 30 like some other schools? Nah, not here. At BTMA, we cap each small group at 12 to ensure your child gets the most out of their musical afternoon. Classes  are a flat rate of $110 per month (with a one-time $35 paper/toner fee). We offer all kinds of ways to expose your children to the joys of music and art. This is where education meets entertainment.

Class Descriptions:

MONDAYS
3:30pm – Instrument Petting Zoo – Braeden
It’s one thing to know what a trumpet looks like….it’s quite another to hold it in your hand, learn the history and parts, and play it for your class! In this class, your child will be introduced to over 20 instruments ranging from flute to trombone, banjo to mandolin, guitar to drums! Special attention will be paid to the “big three:” guitar, drums, and piano. No experience is required and this class is great for ages 3 and up. This is a great class to get your kids in music if you aren’t sure what interests them yet!
4:30pm – I Want to Learn Piano – TylerGail (in Rm. 2)
This class is for anyone that has been noodling on their beginner keyboard at home and has shown interest in playing more seriously and developing their ear! We’ll cover the basics of music notation, learn to read notes, and play with both hands in no time! This class is perfect for 4-8 year olds. No experience is required.
4:30pm – Why Yes, I Play Guitar – Eric
***NEW*** This is a beginning guitar class for anyone interested in learning chords (and singing if they want to!). Mr. Eric will cover different strumming patterns, several chords, and teach his students how to read leadsheets so they can play guitar in any setting! This class has filled up quickly in the past!
4:30pm – Songwriting & Composition – Braeden
In this class, we'll help guide your child's creative thoughts and ideas into parts of a song and eventually record their songs in our recording booth! You don't have to be a singer or even play an instrument to take this class! All students will choose piano or guitar on the first day to help with their creative process. This class is great for songwriters 8 and up. We plan to create, record, and crank out one finished hit per month!

TUESDAYS
2pm – 2 Cool 4 School (Homeschool Choir) – Andrea
PERFECT for wonderful singers with a great ear.  Choristers will gain exposure and experience to warm-ups and techniques, sing in 3 and 4 part harmony with accompaniment and a Capella, and have opportunities for solos and duets.  Best suited for 3rd graders and up (or very well read 2nd graders).  Cool DUDES and rad CHICKS are welcome! This class is taught by the AMAZING Ms. Andrea! The class tuition is slightly discounted at $90 per student per month.
2:15-3:15pm – Mini-Violini – Kayla
Be a part of a strings ensemble! Mini-violini is all about basic violin and viola. Don't have an instrument? We can get you one and build it into the cost of the class. Email us for more info! This class will cover music fundamentals, reading notes, partner and duet songs, stringed instrument care, and much more! No experience required, must be 3 years old to start.
3:30pm – Learn Spanish through Music! – David
