Tuition

Tuition at Black Tie Music Academy is a flat fee and the same across all instructors and locations.

For most students, we charge $100 a month. This covers enrollment in a cutting-edge small group or a weekly 30-minute lesson with a phenomenal instructor. This is our most affordable and popular option for families who want to expose their children to music. For private lesson lengths of any other time, the standard and competitive rate of $50 an hour applies:

30 minute lesson once a week: $100
45 minute lesson once a week: $152
60 minute lesson once a week: $200
90 minute lesson once a week: $300
2 hour lesson once a week:       $400
2.5 hour lesson once a week:    $500
(and so on)

(For months that have 5 of your lesson days, the same flat fee applies)

Calendar

There have been some concerns about whether or not the flat rate is fair, especially during the holidays when we take breaks.  There are 32 Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays when BTMA holds lessons between October 1st and May 30th.  32 lessons during 8 months equals 4 lessons per month. We decided to go with a flat fee instead of prorating to make everyone's life a little easier.

We will take a small break from Monday 12/23 to Sunday, 1/5 and will resume lessons in 2014 on 1/6. We will teach on MLK Day, President's Day, and Spring Break to justify our break over the Christmas holiday. It evens out. By Memorial Day in May, you will have gotten what you paid for! Please give us a call with any questions or concerns - (843) 860-7158.
