We offer private lessons and group classes. Private lessons are $110 a month for a 30-minute weekly lesson with a professional instructor. 1 hour weekly lessons are $210 per month. Private lessons are offered on the following instruments:
Group Classes
Small group classes are a fun way to spend an afternoon. Our students learn the concepts and foundations of music, but in a warm, inviting, and fun atmosphere that includes games and tons of social interaction. Group classes are $105 per month for the first child. Additional siblings may enroll for an additional $75 per month. Classes meet one hour per week according to the instructional calendar at the bottom of this page. We are currently offering the following group classes:
MONDAYS - Group Instrument Petting Zoo class - 2-3pm with Mr. David
- Group Jammin' Acoustic Guitar class - 3:30-4:30pm with Mr. David
WEDNESDAYS - "Break Out That Old Dusty Guitar" class - 7-8pm with Mr. David
Class descriptions:
Instrument Petting Zoo - This weekly, one-hour class will cover ALL instruments over the course of a semester. Really. We'll cover everything from flute to piano, drums to guitar, mandolin to trumpet. Everything! By the time the semester ends, your child will have been exposed to over 20 instruments and have experience handling and playing them all! Special attention will be paid to the "big three:" piano, guitar, & drums. This is more of an exposure class meant to introduce kids to the instrument families and basic theory and notation. No experience is required. Students must be at least 4 years old.
Jammin' Acoustic Guitar/Break Out That Old Dusty Guitar class - Who wants to rock?! This weekly one-hour class explores the foundations of great guitar playing. Topics include learning the parts of the guitar, basic theory, strumming patterns, intro to finger-style playing, and several chords. Musical repertoire is selected by teacher and student. Many genres are represented and explored. No experience is required. Students must be at least 5 years old.
Ivory Ticklin' Piano/Piano & Songwriting class - In this weekly one-hour class, students will learn the foundations of piano and musical notation. Topics include learning the names of the notes on the piano and staff, musical terms and symbols, and playing simple songs in "C" position. Showmanship, stage presence, and mic etiquette are also taught. The Songwriting class will explore the parts of the song, listening examples, and plenty of opportunities to create music! No experience is required. Students must be at least 5 years old.
